The Skyline's the limit

Imagine there’s a Nissan Skyline R33 with your name on it and you’ve got £2k in your pocket to spend on mods... question is, what would you do if you won?

Both are up for grabs as a single prize – yes, you read that right, one lucky winner gets the car and cash – in our amazing competition for 2009*. Collect the keys, take a spin, impress your mates, then sit back with a catalogue of
bodykits, alloys, exhausts, ECU remaps and a calculator. What could be more fun? We’ll even chuck in a year’s free insurance.

The Swinton Specialist ‘Win-A-Project-Car’ competition* is now in its third year, and the 2009 prize is without question the best yet. Don’t get us wrong; 2007’s Subaru Impreza WRX and last year’s Evo V were fantastic. Craig Lobb from Cumbria and Julian Stancliffe from West Yorks certainly think so – they won them! But there’s just something more exotic about a Skyline.

Worth over £10,000 and with just 63,000 miles on the clock, this silver dream machine has been imported from Japan specially for our competition by our friends at www.selectmarques.co.uk. It’s a 1997 Skyline R33 2.6-litre twinturbo, powered by the legendary RB26 engine. Pumping out around 300bhp, it will take you from a standing start to 60mph in around five seconds. Standard kit includes alloy wheels, air-con, central locking and a CD audio system.

But don’t just take our word that this is a great car. It’s also got the seal of approval from drift king Pete Barber. A competitor in the European Drift Championships and sponsored by Swinton Specialist, he helped us make the selection for this year’s prize.

"THE SKYLINE IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITES AND WHOEVER WINS
THIS ONE WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME. IT WOULD MAKE A GREAT
CIRCUIT CAR - I’M ACTUALLY VERY JEALOUS!"

The competition is free to enter and launched on 5 February.* For your chance to win, give us a call on 0800 954 4359 to request an insurance quote. Even easier, visit www.swintonspecialist.co.uk. Or you can do it in person - and see the car in the metal - at the Swinton Specialist stand at ISTS on 11th and 12th April or at JTS on 31st May. Good luck!
